award winning initiative bridging universities & creative industries

Following the merger of Edinburgh College of Art and University of Edinburgh, I was briefed to create a Careers initiative focused at students wanting to work within the Creative Industries - my proposed response was CCCF.

The Creative Cultural Careers Festival (CCCF) was a new employability project designed to connect students with successful practitioners in the creative and cultural sectors to share insight, inspiration and career development opportunities. It also featured an assessed student design project.

As well as creating the overall concept, I was responsible for the project delivery including outlining the festival content, sourcing speakers, building industry partnerships, marketing delivery, event management and leading the student design project. In its first year, the festival attracted over 1000 attendees across 12 events, 71 speakers/exhibitors from 60 different organisations, including 34 which were new to campus. The Festival and its marketing campaign led to the Careers Service having 57% more Twitter follows and 40% more Facebook ‘likes’ on the same period in 2013.
